Trinity Lake’s new single, “RUN,” released on October 16, furthering her artistry in the pop scene. The Ohio born and Oklahoma raised artist combines the Top 40 sonics with the Nashville style songcraft, making her artistry unique, as she draws in many listeners. As she pulls from real and visceral experiences, Trinity captures stories of family, hurt, and forgiveness in her music. As she bounced from Oklahoma trailer parks to choir rooms growing up, Trinity Lake’s unique experiences are told through her tracks.
“RUN” is a personal and empowering anthem that discusses the topics of betrayal, self worth, and finding the strength to walk away. The track was inspired by the painful realization that someone you trusted was never honest about their intentions, as the song captures the moment when the heartbreak gives the way to clarity. “RUN” serves as a reminder to trust your instincts, recognize your worth, and know when it is time to leave someone behind.
Trinity Lake describes “RUN” as one of the most personal songs that she has ever written. As the track describes the moment when the truth comes out, Trinity Lake details the moment when you realize that someone was willing to deceive you for no reason. Trinity Lake shares the hope for her listeners to relate to the track, sharing, “I think a lot of people can relate to finding themselves in situations they never intended to be in, simply because someone wasn’t honest with them. At the end of the day, the song is about knowing your worth and realizing that when someone shows you who they are, it’s time to ‘RUN.’”
As she takes from the storyteller song writing approach, Trinity Lake’s influences, which range from Stevie Nicks, to Sienna Spiro, to SZA, shine through on the track. Lake’s debut EP, Youth (2025), introduced her soulful vocals and “bleeding heart” stories, which have already started to catch the industry’s attention. As she has gotten the support from artists like Teddy Swims and Meghan Trainor, and reactions from Michael Bublé, Alicia Keys, Jelly Roll, and more, each new release defines Trinity Lake’s artistry even more, from everyday people to established musicians.
Trinity Lake’s latest single, “RUN,” is out now and available to stream on all platforms, via River House Artists.
