Wishful alt-pop girlies, listen up and let the wind in your hair..

After a brief hiatus spent writing for massive electronic acts and landing endless film and TV placements, independent alt-pop force CAPPA is finally returning to her own artist project. Since her debut EP in 2015, she has caught the attention of major outlets like Billboard, SPIN, and Entertainment Weekly, while dominating Spotify’s New Music Friday and the U.S. Viral Chart. Now, she is officially kicking off the summer of 2026 with her vibrant new single, “Say You Love Me,” serving as the very first taste of an upcoming EP slated for later this fall.

If you’ve ever found yourself romanticising a late-night drive home, replaying conversations in your head, or wishing someone would just be honest about how they feel, this one might hit close to home.

Built on shimmering electro-pop production and a sense of longing that runs through every second, “Say You Love Me” feels like the soundtrack to empty streets glowing under streetlights after a late night out with your girls. There’s something nostalgic about it – not in a way that feels stuck in the past, but in the way it captures the freedom and emotional rush of those classic 2010s pop moments that made you want to stick your hand out of a car window and pretend you were in a coming-of-age movie.

When CAPPA sings, “Say you want me, say you need me, say you breathe for me” during the chorus, the feeling is familiar. Hey, sometimes all you want is for someone to say exactly what they mean. It captures that human desire to hear the exact words that anchor you to someone else, trading typical pop clichés for a sentiment that feels authentic and exposed.

CAPPA’s time away from her solo project allowed her to sharpen her pen alongside massive global names like Alan Walker, Dillon Francis, and The Chainsmokers, even co-writing Eli Brown’s hit single “Be The One.” That seasoned pop precision shines through every corner of “Say You Love Me,” yet the emotional core remains entirely hers.

The track functions as a liberating reset, intentionally designed to shake off the lingering dust of past letdowns.

“I hope this song gives people permission to feel hopeful again – even after disappointment, heartbreak, or uncertainty,” CAPPA shares. “I wanted it to feel like driving with the windows down, and you have this feeling of being free, emotional, cinematic and alive all at once.”

With “Say You Love Me,” CAPPA delivers a stunning reminder of her power as a solo artist. It is a cinematic, high-energy return that invites you to roll the windows all the way down, embrace the messy emotions, and start feeling alive again.
