Bijou Belle is an emerging artist from Rapid City, South Dakota, with roots in the alt-pop and indie artist genres. At only seventeen years old, she is quickly defining herself within the Midwest music scene, and beyond.

Bijou Belle grew up in a family with deep musical roots. Her grandfather, Rocke Grace, co-wrote the rock classic “Rocky Mountain Way,” which formulated her rock roots. She made her debut on the stage with her family band, The RathCo, and they toured around the Midwest together, performing for crowds of all sizes.

Now, Bijou Belle is taking a different approach to her musical career, as she starts to work on her solo music. With the recent release of her debut EP, The RathCo, she introduces the audience to her alt-pop sound, unique vocals, and complex songwriting activities.

In addition to the release of her EP, Bijou Belle also made her national television debut on the most recent season of NBC’s The Voice, as an artist on Team Adam. In bringing her music to a wider audience on the show, she marked the beginning of her alt-pop career on the national stage. As she covered Billie Eilish’s “Wildflower,” and even performed an original song of her own, “Close the Door,” Bijou Belle certainly made her mark during her time on The Voice.

Bijou Belle’s most recent track, “See You,” is further solidifying her alt-pop sound. Described as a “haunting mid-tempo” track, “See You” goes in depth into the perspective of someone that is still in love with someone who is moving on. The feelings of desperation and hope shine through on the track, as Bijou Belle sings “can you see me the way that I see you,” as she hopes that the other individual will give their love another chance.

As Bijou Belle continues to work on her solo work, she describes the song to be about “loving someone who’s already moving on, while part of you is still holding onto everything you had. It’s that feeling of wanting someone to see you the way you see them.”

Bijou Belle’s new single, “See You” is available to stream now on all platforms.
