LA band and art collective julie’s subsidiary ette has released a new collaboration with independent Italian design studio GR10K, bringing the two creative projects together across fashion, art and industrial design.
Established as julie’s home for ancillary projects, ette extends the band’s creative world beyond music, distributing work across fashion, art and industrial design.
The ette x GR10K collection spans a skirt, scarf, tunic, zip-up sweater and trousers, alongside a collaborative physical zine featuring imagery, stickers and other material relating to the project. The zine will also be accompanied by a digital archive, with access available through ette.design.

The collection is informed by industrial materials, uniform references and the visual language surrounding the wider julie project, balancing the artistic direction of both parties.
GR10K’s approach to industrial design and manufacturing incorporates references to industrial processes directly into its garments, alongside collaborations with independent craftspeople across Europe.
ette, whose members met at design school, bring dark, heavy dreamscape-like influences that overlay a foundation of industrial palettes to the collection.
Across the range, black and charcoal silhouettes are punctuated by considered stitching and strategically placed YKK zips, while an exposed GR10K x ette label becomes a design feature in its own right.

One of the collection’s more unexpected pieces is the GORE-TEX Amulet Doll, a small mascot-like object constructed from deadstock GORE-TEX in Dark Soil Grey. Deliberately misshapen and slightly wonky, it gives the collection a softer, almost playful edge, while its use of leftover technical fabric keeps that distinctly industrial character intact. Finished with a belt loop for attaching it to bags, garments or other objects, the doll sits somewhere between an imperfect but cute companion and a piece of functional design.

The collaboration will be celebrated with a special ette x GR10K event at Dover Street Market Paris on Friday, October 3rd, featuring a live performance from julie.

The project marks another step in julie’s expansion beyond music. Formed by Keyan Pourzand, Dillon Lee, Alexandria Elizabeth and friends of Cult Machine, the LA trio have increasingly blurred the boundaries between their music and visual practice, with ette providing a home for the fashion, art and industrial projects surrounding the band.
The ette x GR10K collection is available online now, with the physical zine and digital archive available through ette.design.
